Amit Chatterjee

Amit Chatterjee spent more than three decades on Wall Street designing, building, and running the trading, market-data, risk, and operations technology that financial institutions depend on. He now works as a strategic AI advisor — bringing an operator's judgment to the question every business is now asking: where does AI genuinely help, where is it the wrong tool, and what does it actually take to put it to work?

Most recently, Amit was Head of Enterprise Cloud Migration & Capital-Markets Technology at U.S. Bank, where he moved the bank's first application to AWS in 2019 and was asked to lead its enterprise cloud migration on the strength of that work. Earlier he served as Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer for Global Equities Technology at Citigroup, and as Managing Director and Chief Information Officer at Weeden & Co. Across those roles he led large engineering organizations, modernized core trading infrastructure, and directed technology diligence and integration across multiple capital-markets M&A transactions. He has also served as a member of the NASDAQ Technology Advisory Committee.

His premise is simple: AI is only worth deploying when it is grounded in real data, auditable, and kept under human review — the same standards he held running production systems on the Street. He has deployed AI where getting it wrong was not an option, and has built production AI agents himself. Through TRAC, he now helps professional-services firms — accounting, legal, finance, healthcare — map their workflows and find the AI opportunities worth pursuing, and the ones to avoid.
